With warmer weather ahead, we’re excited to feature a few outdoor venues, perfect for your celebration. This week, take a peek at Sycamore Creek Family Ranch.

Open since May 2016, Sycamore Creek Family Ranch offers a rustic barn setting with modern amenities, nestled in the rolling hills above Lake Taneycomo. With seating around a grand 200-year old sycamore tree next to the barn, couples can choose a scenic outdoor ceremony followed by a reception inside the barn.

Co-owner Lisa Button says that when the sun sets behind the grand tree, framing the bride and groom in a warm glow, it’s simply breathtaking. “You have to see it to understand how pretty it is,” she adds.

Sycamore Creek Family Ranch strives to make the wedding day the beginning of a lifelong journey. “We don’t see ourselves as a venue, per se, because our main mission is the family,” Lisa says. Throughout the year, when they aren’t hosting weddings inside the custom-built barn, Sycamore Creek is the place to go for barn dances, seasonal festivals, and camp-fire rentals.

“We want to create a place where families can be loved,” Lisa says, adding that they plan activities to grow deep family roots.
