Metropolitan Weddings

Childhood was where it all started for Sue. She began taking photographs as a young girl and soon realized it would be a fun and rewarding job as she got older. After high school, she embarked on earning her major in Fine Arts at Missouri State University, with an emphasis in photography. She learned to shoot on film cameras and processed the film and prints by hand. It gave her a deeper understanding of the art and technique of photography. Sue now has over ten years of experience in photography.

The most memorable photography sessions for Sue are those where her clients have told her they looked at their wedding photos or viewed their slideshows over and over again and loved them. Knowing she has helped her clients remember their special day is the most rewarding aspect of what she does.

When doing photo sessions, Sue always has her trusty Nikon in her camera bag. Her photography style is a combination of photojournalism, some traditional themes and a splash of whimsy here and there. She desires to create a unique look and experience for every shoot and knows each person is different, so each session should be different as well. Getting to know each person’s style is of the utmost importance when determining the look for a shoot.

When she has free time, which is not very often, Sue loves spending moments with her young son who has a truly vivid imagination.
